Through the Bible, Confirmandi come to know Jesus Christ more intimately. The Gospels reveal His teachings, miracles, and sacrifice, offering a model for how to follow Him in daily life. The letters of the Apostles instruct believers on living a virtuous life, while the Old Testament provides historical and moral lessons that remain relevant today. Engaging with Scripture helps young Catholics understand their faith more deeply, strengthening their relationship with God.
Furthermore, the Bible offers encouragement and strength in times of doubt, temptation, and hardship. By meditating on God's Word, Confirmandi learn to rely on His promises and grow in trust. As they prepare to take on a more active role in the Church, Scripture equips them with the knowledge and confidence to defend their faith and share it with others. Ultimately, the Bible remains a lifelong guide, shaping their spiritual journey long after Confirmation.

The Word on Fire Bible is a groundbreaking new book introducing readers to the strange, colorful world of the Bible. It was designed to appeal not just to Christians, but to nonbelievers, searchers, and those with far more questions than answers. It doesn’t presume any experience with the Bible; in fact, it was created for people reading the Bible seriously for the first time, who may be unsure of what to make of its many events and characters.
Inside this volume, you’ll find the books of 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Tobit, Judith, Esther, and 1 and 2 Maccabees surrounded by illuminating artwork and helpful commentary from Bishop Robert Barron, the Church Fathers, and some of the greatest saints, mystics, artists, and scholars throughout history. You’ll discover insights from Clement of Rome, Bede, Pope Paul VI, John Cassian, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Gregory the Great, Henri de Lubac, and many other teachers in the way of the Spirit.
The translation used in The Word on Fire Bible is the New Revised Standard Version: Catholic Edition (NRSV-CE), which has received wide acclaim from academics and Church leaders. It stands out because of its accuracy and readability, being as literal as possible yet as free as necessary to make the meaning clear in graceful, understandable English. It’s a wonderful translation—both for those who have never read the Bible and for those who have studied it for years.
Featuring:
- Large font
- Single-column layout
- Acclaimed translation
- Beautiful religious art
- Excellent commentary
The whole of Scripture, Old Testament and New, is being published in a single volume, featuring the beautiful Revised Standard Version Second Catholic Edition (RSV2CE) translation along with introductions, outlines, and explanatory notes for each biblical book, extensive cross references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and an array of visual and educational aids to bring the message of Scripture into clear focus for Catholic readers.
More than any other study edition of the Bible on the market, the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible is "like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old" (Mt 13:52). It draws insights from the best of modern scholarship as well as the best of the Catholic tradition of interpretation through the ages.
It explains the historical, cultural, literary, and archaeological background of Scripture, while at the same time looking to the Fathers, Doctors, and Councils of the Church for insight into its theological and spiritual teachings. The result is a veritable library of Bible study resources, all under one cover, designed to help readers understand the written Word of God and apply its lessons to their lives today. It is simply the most ambitious undertaking of its kind in our generation.

Introducing children to Bible stories is a beautiful way to nurture their faith and moral foundation. These stories, rich with lessons about God's love, compassion, and guidance, offer children a sense of purpose, hope, and a deeper understanding of their relationship with God.
Bible stories are often written in simple yet profound ways, making them relatable and easy for children to understand. Stories like Noah's Ark, David and Goliath, and Jesus feeding the five thousand capture their imagination while teaching important virtues such as courage, trust, kindness, and forgiveness. These narratives help children see how God works in the lives of His people and inspires them to follow His ways.
By learning Bible stories, children also develop a strong moral compass. They begin to grasp concepts of right and wrong, empathy, and the importance of treating others with love and respect. These lessons help shape their character and guide their behavior in daily life.
