1 inch two tone sterling silver oval miraculous medal on 20 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. Around the outside of the gold frame of Mary on the front of the medal are the words inscribed, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." The year 1830 is inscribed on the front which represents the year Catherine Laboure, the daughter of charity was blessed with the apparitions Mary Immaculate. The back of the medal has an engraved "M" with a cross on the top and the "sacred hearts" underneath surrounded by twelve stars. The large "M" represents Mary as mother.
