This powerful image depicting the Disputation of the Holy Eucharist by Raphael comes as a canvas print in an attractive gold-finished wood frame. Handcrafted in Steubenville, Ohio, this piece is a truly artistic and religious addition to any home!
With Jesus in the Holy Eucharist as the focal point of this fresco, Italian artist Raphael paints the discussion between the Heavenly and earthly: the mystery of Christ's real presence in the Eucharist - the source and summit of our faith. Filled with rich meaning, Raphael depicts the Church militant below (on earth) and the Church triumphant above (in Heaven), filled with Saints, popes, contemporaries of Raphael, Old and New Testament figures, and many others. The power of the Holy Spirit and Angels proclaiming the Word of God connect the two spheres. Also symbolized is the deep union brought about by the Eucharist: man is brought into communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - the Trinity - and receives the Father's blessing. May we be urged on in our faith through this image, to seek deeper understanding of the Most Holy Sacrament both through study and contemplation.
Nelson framed canvases are second only to the original masterpieces themselves! Solid wood, deluxe gold mouldings frame our breathtaking, board-mounted giclée religious canvases. Giclee is a french word that means "sprayed ink," and it refers to our museum-quality printing process whereby 8 different colored inks combine to create millions of colors that are slowly sprayed into canvas material. This high-tech method of art reproduction offers the highest possible fidelity to the original work and results in a clear depiction with colors as good (or sometimes better) than the original painting. Under archival conditions, giclée canvases have a total color fidelity guarantee for 70-100 years.
For the faithful Catholic that wishes their sacred art to be blessed with holy water: canvases are sparingly water repellent, so while a typical blessing should not damage the canvas whatsoever, those who favor more robust uses of holy water should take caution near the art. ;)

One of the most beloved depictions of the Divine Mercy, this image of the original Vilnius rendition by Eugene Kazimirowski draws us in and bids us meditate upon the overwhelming mercy and love of Our Lord. Christ, looking in front of the viewer, is raising a hand in blessing and with the other hand is pointing to His Heart, out of which flows rays of Blood and Water. Christ gave St. Faustina this image in Poland in 1931. In a conversation with our Lord, He explained the image to her and asked to have it painted so that all could adore Him and receive His Mercy:
Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and throughout the world. (Diary of St. Faustina 47)
I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory. (Diary 48)
I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature" :Jesus, I trust in You." (Diary 327)
The two rays denote Blood and Water. the pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him. (Diary 299)
Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush, lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace. (Diary 313)
By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls. It is to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works. (Diary 742)
Through the intercession of St. Faustina, may we come to know and receive our Lord's desire to love us through mercy through this image. Our Divine Mercy Vilnius Original framed fine art print makes a perfect addition to your living room or parish or is a perfect gift for a dear friend.

One of the most popular and beloved Christian Orthodox Icons from the most ancient times is the Orthodox icon of the Good Shepherd. As you look at Christ beautifully holding a sheep on his shoulder you are instantly taken to the Gospel of St. John, chapter 10, “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep..I am the Good Shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”
This Orthodox icon is one of the most ancient as it adorned the catacombs of ancient Rome where the persecuted Christians celebrated their Liturgy. The image of the Good Shepherd is the most common of the symbolic representations of Christ found in Early Christian art in the Catacombs of Rome, before Christian imagery could be made explicit. The image continued to be used in the centuries after Christianity was legalized in 313. Initially it was probably not understood as a portrait of Jesus, but a symbol like others used in Early Christian art, and in some cases may also have represented the Shepherd of Hermas, a popular Christian literary work of the 2nd century. However, by about the 5th century, the figure more often took on the appearance of the conventional depiction of Christ, as it had developed by this time, and was given a halo and rich robes, as on the apse mosaic in the church of Santi Cosma e Damiano in Rome, or at Ravenna (right). Orthodox Christian icons of the Good Shepherd often include a sheep on his shoulders, as in the Lukan version of the Parable of the Lost Sheep.
Through Legacy Icons you can order your own professionally replicated image of this most beloved and ancient representations of our Lord Jesus Christ today.

Christ Blessing the Children Icon 6in x 7.5 in. Icons are hand-crafted and made-to-order
This icon is offered by Legacy Icons with the permission of the iconographer, Brian Matthew Whirledge.
This stunning icon depicts the Six Days of Creation in one single incredible icon.
The starry firmament above contains the sun, moon, and stars. The border of the sky is marked by a rainbow, which in iconography symbolizes God's divine power and authority. The seas below are gathered into one place, bordered by dry land. The seas teem with life, while the sky is filled with birds and the land contains numerous plants and animals. Adam, the first-created man, sits in his place, giving glory to God for all things.
The Lord Jesus Christ sits in an orb of divinity in the center, his arms outstretched in a gesture of blessing and authority. In Orthodox theology and iconography, it is the Word of God in particular who accomplishes the Creation of the world—as Genesis says, the Lord spoke all things into existence.
The Creation account is read four times each year in the Orthodox Church: on the eves of the greatest feasts of the Lord Jesus—the Nativity, Theophany, and Pascha—and during the first week of Great Lent.
This beautiful icon was painted by Bulgarian iconographer Georgi Chimev, exclusively for Legacy Icons.
This beautiful icon of the Guardian Angel brings to mind the angelic spiritual protector of every baptized Christian. Our Guardian Angel accompanies our life, and encourages us toward holiness while striving to protect us from danger through our conscience. He bears a spiritual sword for this purpose, but his true weapon is the holy Cross, which puts every demon to flight.

On the third day after His death, the Sunday of Pascha (Easter), our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead. This icon celebrates the universe-transforming event known as the Harrowing of Hades, the doctrine laid down in the Nicene Creed. In His spirit, the Lord descended into Hades, the realm of the dead. But death, being unable to hold Him Who is Life, was rendered powerless, and Christ raised the dead to eternal life.
In the icon, Christ is standing on the gates of Hades. He destroyed these ancient gates that had held all the dead captive. He is reaching down to Adam and Eve, our first human ancestors, pulling them from the grave. David, Solomon, and John the Baptist represent all the kings and prophets who had gone before, foreseeing this great event. Standing around them are multitudes of the dead who believed in Christ when He came to set them free.
The Resurrection is the feast of feasts, the season of seasons, in which we praise Christ for this glorious action that made our union with God possible.
Icon by the hand of Georgi Chimev.
This icon is used in the Russian tradition for the feast of Pentecost, and in many churches it appears above the Holy Doors. It bears two meanings.
On its surface, this icon depicts a scene from the Bible. The image of three angels grouped around a food-laden table is understood to illustrate the story of the Hospitality of Abraham (Gen. 18:1-8). Here Abraham had just been told by God that he and his wife, Sarah, though beyond childbearing age, were to be blessed with a son. Shortly thereafter, Abraham greeted three men—messengers from Heaven, but also guests in their own right and entitled to good treatment—who appeared on his doorstep. Abraham did all he could to make his holy visitors comfortable, and with Sarah’s help served them from the best provisions he could offer. The guests confirmed Abraham’s blessing. Consistent with a Scriptural interpretation, they are portrayed as angels.
Second, while the icon does show the three messengers seated at Abraham’s table, icons like this one have come to be understood throughout Church history to be representations of the Holy Trinity, present even in the Old Testament covenant God made with Abraham.
It is not necessary, though, to identify each angel in the icon as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Different versions of the icon may reconcile the question by different means—in some, one angel is clearly identifiable as the Son, and in others, which emphasize the unity of the three Persons of the Trinity, all three angels are identical.
Other icons, make the angels both united and unique. Sometimes the eyes of each angel are focused on the companion sitting to his right. The lines of their gazes form a triangle suggesting that, despite their separateness , they are united in one existence. Their placement above the Holy Doors, through which Holy Communion is brought out during the Divine Liturgy, furthers their connection to God’s becoming incarnate for our salvation and being present today in the Eucharist. The angels, unified around the feast, are partaking of Holy Communion themselves.
Also, while the three are otherwise identical to one another, they are clothed in different colors: one in red, one in blue, and one in green. These colors all have divine significance: red for active power and sacrifice for God’s purpose, blue to the contemplative depths and mysteries of God’s love and presence, and green for the peace and regeneration brought forth in communion between God and ourselves. The three colors, in both their meanings and appearance, complement and balance one another. Here balanced are the opposite tones of red-orange and blue, and midpoint in green: here is present the God who smote Sodom and Gomorrah, the God willing to have mercy on either city for the sake of one just citizen, and the God who delivered a child and heir to an aging couple long after they had accepted this was impossible; and, while we may not be able to pinpoint which figure is which, here are represented the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

This 21st century icon, specially commissioned by Legacy Icons, shows the scene of the Mystical Supper (or the Last Supper). Christ reveals that one of his Disciples will betray Him, as they look at one another with shock. Judas, the betrayer, is seen reaching his hand toward the bowl, as the Gospel says. At this Passover meal, Christ instituted the most holy sacrament of the Eucharist.
The holy Eucharistic meal mystically transforms the nature of meals, in the same way that Baptism transforms all water and the Cross transforms all trees. For this reason, many Orthodox Christians display an icon of the Mystical Supper, particularly large ones, in their dining rooms. This icon makes a wonderful housewarming gift, and an ideal gift for a newly-married couple.

This beautiful icon is a duplication of the original, painted by a Bulgarian iconographer in 2015. It is very similar to the prototype, although the sharp-eyed viewer will note the more traditional Byzantine style of this icon, especially in the faces.
Also known as "Theotokos of the Passion," the Perpetual Help icon has quite a storied past, stretching back to the time before the Great Schism. The original has been housed at the Church of Saint Alphonsus in Rome for centuries, under the protection of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, or the Redemptorists.

Many Eastern prayers to the Theotokos speak of her Protection, or Protecting Veil. In this icon, it is depicted literally—her veil being a shield against all the attacks of evil. The depiction of the Bodiless Angels surrounding her is meant to teach us how powerful her protecting intercessions are for us. The Archangels and Guardian Angels stand by to assist us in our times of need as we live our lives in Christ.

This detail from a large 16th century fresco features a Seraph. The Seraphim, which in Hebrew means "burning ones," are the highest of the nine angelic ranks. Their name indicates their closeness to God: so close that they are eternally burning with His divine fire and light as they commune directly with Him. They are depicted with six wings after the vision in Isaiah 6.
The feast day of all the angelic hosts is November 8.
Gabriel in the Hebrew language means Man of God or Might of God. He is a bringer of good news of the mysteries of God, especially at the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary. He holds messenger's staff, rather than a soldier's spear, and an orb, which represents authority. The Greek letter in the orb, X, means Christ.

Saint Katherine (also spelled Catherine) was a Great Martyr who suffered in the year 305 at the hands of Maximinus of Alexandria.
She is commemorated in the Slavic churches on November 24, the date of her martyrdom. In the Byzantine churches, she is commemorated on November 25, her feast being combined with the Leavetaking of the Entry of the Theotokos into the Temple. This change was made at the request of the Monastery of St. Katherine on Mount Sinai.
